Feedback
from the couples:
"This has been great. Clearly the course was a blast,
really refreshing, a good night out and well worth doing."
An
idea for other couples going forward:
If you are interested in doing the course, say in the autumn
or at the start of 2008, one good way to do it is in your
home or in the home of friends. The main advantage in doing
it this way is that it allows at least one couple not to
have a babysitting challenge. That is how Theresa and I
first did the course: we drove out regularly to friends
in Falkirk who have two small boys. Once the wee lads were
in bed, we adults would watch the DVD and then go into separate
rooms for private discussion. It worked a treat. NB CCE
has one set of video-cassettes of the course, and two sets
of DVDs. Just contact John Muirhead to borrow one or other
set.
Another
idea for couples - or to pass on as info to friends:
Some other churches in Edinburgh are running or planning
to run the course, eg St Mungo's, St Paul's and St George's,
Morningside Baptist.
If you
have any thoughts about the Marriage Course going forward,
do get in touch with Theresa and me on 445 5699 or iain_archibald@tiscali.co.uk.
We'd love to hear from you.
