fusionFusion is a group of people who are working together to help catalyse and resource a radical movement for Christ amongst students and within their culture. They are an organisation that works in partnership with local churches, resourcing and enabling both the Church and its students to see the Kingdom of God break out in student culture.

Fusion primarily operates through cell groups. To help this happen, they have developed some exciting resources. Cell materials, leaders' materials and a whole host of other things can be checked out on their website. Fusion also has a number of experienced and trained people (both Fusion workers and key volunteers from their partnership churches) who are available for training and advice.
Fusion's volunteer at Community Church is Joy Lyth.

Fusion's vision is to see a connected movement of students emerge in many nations, who will be effective disciples and missionaries in all of life, including the workplace.

River Fellowship The River Fellowship is a Catholic lay community dedicated to mission in Slovakia that has grown up around the ancient Redemptorist Monastery in Podolinec, Slovakia. Many members of Community Church have had the privilege of travelling to Slovakia nd sharing the lives of the members of the community, mutually encourageing and teaching one another across denominational and cultural boundaries. The site is currently in Slovak only but will soon be translated into English. Soon Community Church hopes to market retreats and holidays to this beautiful area of Slovakia. For more information, email the office.

the africa fundThe Africa Fund is an initiative set up to support people we know and visit regularly in Africa. There is no organisational
link to the projects involved, which are entirely planned and
run by people in Africa. However, we will only support projects where we have a relational link with the individuals involved,
and an ongoing accountability as to the use of resources.

The fund has been set up David Hewitt, a leader in an Edinburgh church (Community Church Edinburgh). He
originally trained as an architect and worked in Tanzania
for a year in the late 1970s. He now makes regular visits to Kenya and Uganda, to further the links that have developed with a number of churches and organisations.

The fund operates under the auspices of Community Church Edinburgh (CCE), which is currently seeking charitable status, and the c.net network of churches in the UK. The accounts are independently audited each financial year.

The web site is intended to be a place of interest and information, as well as a chance for you to learn about live development projects that are 'on the ground' in Africa. Why not choose to get behind one of the initiatives, follow it's progress, and help make a difference today.

'You can't change the world, but you can change someone's world.'

For more information, contact David Hewitt on info@theafricafund.net
