Mission

In a world desperately searching for the solution to hopelessness, social disharmony and increasing injustice, we are passionate about demonstrating how faith is able to overcome these things, giving life, purpose, love and community.

Prayer

Prayer is powerful, effective and central to what we do. We regularly go to different parts of Edinburgh, to the marginalized areas and the rich, asking God to show us what the needs are and interceding on behalf of those communities. In these times we often find that as we pray for others, our hearts are also changed in the process; that we are motivated to become more like Jesus; that we are called to be part of the answer.

Community Links

Having been envisioned, ignited and fuelled by prayer, we try to be Jesus, to be light, and to be hope and love in our communities – amongst friends and amongst neighbours, known and unknown – wanting to see this incorporated into our daily lives as well as through more formal, focused efforts such as homeless projects.

Nooma

Nooma’ is a series of short films which touch on aspects of faith and spirituality in clear, simple and relevant language – challenging, inspiring and provoking questions which increase hunger to learn more about God and his relationship with the world. Once a month in the student cell groups, we have a meal, watch a Nooma film and then discuss together the things from it that have particularly impacted us. These evenings provide a natural, accessible environment for anyone, irrespective of their beliefs, to join us in exploring faith and what it means to believe in and follow Jesus.
